why bea bartender?Bartending is a fun and a profitable career that appeals to people of all ages.  It allows a person to have fun and make money anywhere you go because there is always a demand for a good bartender.  Bartending offers excitement and a chance to meet people in a fun and relaxed environment.

Bartending is a recession proof career. As many industries continue to suffer, studies have shown bartending and the service industry is one of the top growing industries in the world.

The bartending field offers many benefits including a flexible schedule, great pay, job security, and extra money to help supplement income.  Unlike traditional schools you can learn bartending in two short weeks and immediately go to work making great money.

With the economy in the state that it is and not much relief in sight, there is no better time to get into bartending.  During bad times, people tend to hold back on spending money on many things. Recent studies have shown that alcohol sales are still on the rise. During bad or good times people still go out and visit their local favorite watering holes and enjoy adult beverages and meeting people.

It seems during the bad times, bars often get busier.  Bartending has proven throughout the years that it is a recession proof career and it’s never seasonal. People go out all year long to enjoy adult beverages and camaraderie.

Pay in bartending is always a consideration when making a choice to start a new career. Bartenders are normally paid an hourly pay plus tips. Tips are where you make your money!  A bartender’s hourly pay will average somewhere between $6.00 to $10.00 an hour, plus tips. If a bartender makes $6.00 an hour in salary, they can usually count on at least an additional $10.00 to $20.00 an hour in tips. Bartenders can average anywhere from $100.00 to $300.00 a night with their tips and pay together. This is just an average and is usually higher than most entry level jobs upon graduating college. Also, colleges are more expensive and can take up to two to four years to complete. Bartending can be learned in two short weeks.

Larger restaurants and hotels often offer full benefits for their employees. This can include health and dental insurance. Hotels also offer discounts for their employees for lodging when they travel.

There all types of bartending positions to match anyone’s personality.  Bartending is not just working at corner bars and taverns. Our students go to work in nice hotels, restaurants, country clubs, airports, cruise ships, and neighborhood bars not only locally, but nationally, and all around the world. No matter what type of personality someone has, there is always a perfect bartending job out there to fit it.
